Politics & the Celebrity Elite

Headlines everywhere today read: "Aaron Carter Endorses Donald Trump!"

Well, for a D list celebrity (as his haters, not me, are calling him), Aaron Carter sure as hell made a splash today! His name is EVERYWHERE for this endorsement and almost none of it is support. Except for me.

I may be biased, because I too am a Trump supporter. Of course that means I was happy with this endorsement. However, this is what I hate about social media. Just because someone shares a personal view on something that people strongly disagree with, it means they lose fans.

How about we listen to each other, like open hearted and opened minded human beings about WHY we support or don't support people? Why we feel the way we do about certain things? We may just learn something. If you make an informed decision, you can't go wrong for YOURSELF. You either make a good choice or you learn from the downfalls of it. Yeah, there's a ripple effect, but we all go into that voting booth ALONE and the amount of propaganda is disgusting on both sides. So it's best to have our own research and opinion anyway and not knock others for doing the same.

The personal attacks being sent to Aaron are disgusting. Calling him a D list meth addict and everything! He is someone who has struggled with addiction and it's not something to poke fun at. I lost my brother to years of addiction and he hung himself over the summer. But I digress. The lack of privacy and the risk of attacks like what is happening to Aaron is exactly why so many in Hollywood (especially A and B list celebrities) have become puppets and followers instead of leaders. They know it could mean the end of their career and smearing of their name if they dare to step out and be different from the rest.

Listen, I'm not knocking the majority of Hollywood, or anyone in the country for that matter, for disagreeing with me. That's the beautiful thing about this country. I couldn't care less who you support, or what you do as long as it's an informed decision and also not something that I feel will hurt others or this country as a whole if we're talking strictly politics.

So, Oh Aaron, props to you for having the balls to speak out and support someone of your own choosing!

Be Your Own Valentine. Love Yourself: For All My Singles...

I have heard that February 13th is National Self Love/Self Care Day, but I'm choosing to write about it on a day that's focused on love every year...Valentine's Day.

Through participating in Sunny Dawn Johnston's 44 day mind, body, spirit detox, I realized that I suffer from a lack of self love and self care. Before doing the detox, I didn't even think that was possible for me. It just never occurred to me, until I reminded myself and made the connection that everything going on in my external environment, was and always is a direct reflection of what is going on in my internal environment.

Self doubt. Fear. Anxiety. Stress. Lack.

Just to name a few.

I know of the idea that everything going on externally is a reflection of what's going on internally, but I also liked to participate in blame and always think it was someone else's issues or uncontrollable circumstances that were just annoying the living shit out of me and I couldn't do anything about it cuz it was their fault and I was trying to help THEM past it and not myself. It was much easier but that belief and perspective made my life harder in the end. God forbid I admit that I was choosing to deal with it because the extreme alternatives scared me. So nope. It's all everyone else's fault!

Wrong.

I choose to be around the people I surround myself with, which means I ultimately choose their behavior and all situations that transpire from my bedroom to trips out of state or meeting strangers on the street because I'm a match to it inside somehow...even when I don't make the connection as to how.

I've depleted myself at times in life. I'm a giver and I have a very hard time receiving, despite the many blessings I have already received in life and am forever grateful for. I'm no martyr, I do know how blessed I am which is why I give of my time, energy, love, money and so much more whenever I can. That's not a bad thing, unless it leaves you depleted.

Well, I will never again say that the universe hasn't given me a hard lesson to learn. Sure, I've ALWAYS looked at my "disability" as the "ability" to overcome obstacles and teach the world about embracing differences. That was never a tough one for me. No, what's hard as hell is to learn is that it's okay and necessary to receive and it's okay to feel and say that you currently have no more to give and that maybe you need the love you're so freely giving to everyone else. I have felt like it would be selfish of me to ever feel this way but that doesn't change the fact that I do. So I suffered a lot of guilt and shame because of it.

I always get bashful when people compliment me; looks, outlook etc. I accept it and thank them, but I also am extremely humble about it. I've grown up believing ego was a terrible thing. Throughout life I've adopted the belief that I was asking for too much, so I stopped asking for anything. It wasn't even necessarily people telling me that either. Life just unfolded in certain ways that left me honestly wanting to put my desires on the back burner over and over. I started to feel guilty for wanting or needing anything from a ride on a night out with friends (okay so some did cause me to feel guilty for that LOL) to wanting to be the owner of a mind, body, spirit center. Well, damn that lack mentality to hell now.

I'm a deserving person. I'm deserving of love. I'm deserving of abundance. I'm deserving of freedom. I'm deserving of safety and security. I'm deserving of amazing experiences and amazing people. I also deserve to dispel my life of any and all negativity in all of its forms. That's going to get a lot of push back, but that's not my fault. Once I change my habits and behavior, it's going to cause my life to shift in many ways.

No, this blog isn't an anti Valentine's Day blog. It's a blog expressing that I love myself while I await the arrival of all that the universe has on the way for me.

My Belief in Love Has Been Restored

My belief in love has been restored

I would make a video about this, but my phone can't handle more videos until I upload my fitness one.

Anyway, this morning I saw the new pictures of Khloe and Lamar. My heart burst and my smile hurt my cheeks! I have so many thoughts on this, all that can be summed up in one word and a few emojis:

AHHH ❤️💖❣💗💛💚💕💘💙💞💝💜💓

I am BEYOND happy! My faith in love has been restored! I always loved them together and I had a feeling one day they would be back together!

Okay, calm down, it's one night of pictures and it doesn't mean they're together romantically. Okay, but what if they are?! Let's discuss.

As I said, I always loved Khloe and Lamar together. It broke my heart when they broke up and when I started to hear of Lamar's struggles. So many people have so much shit to say about it, so I figured I'd say my piece.

Lamar is, first and foremost, a human being. He's been a broken, shattered person since he was a kid. His relationship, or lack thereof, with his father and his fathers' own struggles effected him a lot. That happens. When your parent is an addict, you either follow in their footsteps or stay away from it. Lamar is not the first or last person that has gone down a wrong path. There's a reason his life was spared and I wish him nothing but love, for himself and whichever good support system he chooses to keep around.

Khloe is a strong ass woman. Period, point blank. I love her and Lamar together, but to be quite honest, I don't know if I'd have half the strength she's had to be there in a marriage with him for so many years and then be by his side when he was at deaths' door. For my own sanity and health, I probably would have left too but not been able to be there as a friend and then again when he almost died. But I'm not in love with him, so I can't really say that I wouldn't. It's no secret that Khloe never fell out of love with Lamar, which plays a big part in why she stuck around and why they may be back together. It's a testament to how strong she is as a person and how strong love can be.

People are gonna talk shit, but I choose to see 2 people in love, trying to make it work. Plus, seeing Lamar out with Khloe's whole family reminded me of tweets he sent out a few years ago. He basically bashed the haters and said Khloe and her family were the only real family he's ever had. He loves them and it's clearly reciprocated so I hope that people can wish them well and be done with it.

Peaceful, easy feeling...

I love music. It always speaks to me and I have different music for all of my moods. Okay, so BSB is usually (still) my go-to. It's amazing for manifesting too.

I love the Eagles and their song "Peaceful, Easy Feeling." Isn't that what we all want? So many people try to feed us lies that "anything worth having doesn't come easy." Okay, so it's not ALWAYS a lie. Sometimes things are hard because you're pushing against what is supposed to be there or fighting to hold onto what (or who) you need to let go of.

It's my belief that when you're on the right path in life, things just seem to flow. You get a peaceful, easy feeling. Always look for that. Look within. If you have peace and things are easy, keep going in that direction.

Only Human

Every time I get overwhelmed, the song "Only Human" by Christina Perri plays in my head. I'm to the point in my life where my wellbeing is really important to me. Don't wait as long as I did. We're all only human and can only give what we have. Make sure you're not giving from an empty cup.

Haven't been here in awhile....

Hey everyone!

Who is still reading this blog? If you are, please let me know! And if you're just joining me, welcome! I've been so busy and I admit I kinda abandoned this site for bubblews. But something pulled me back here. I kinda feel like this is a less stressful way of doing things. It's more fun with less pressure.

I'm on a journey to becoming a spiritual healer, after seeing one myself last year. She told me I was a healer back then, but I'm just recently starting to see and figure out why. I'm not quite ready for clients yet, but I've been doing some practices to enhance my spiritual growth as well as balance out my real life. I will probably be writing a book about that, so look out for that and for any announcements about when I'll be offering my healing services.

In the mean time...here are books I've already written that you can check out!

Enough With The Hate

For those of you reading this blog that are Big Brother fans, I'm sure you know about the goings on in the house this season (15). For those of you who don't, let me break this down quickly for you. It has nothing to do with the game whatsoever. To make a long story short, some of the houseguests (Aaryn, Spencer and GinaMarie) have been caught on the live feeds saying very derogatory, racist, bigoted things. It has opened up a can of worms 'round the world, as well as old wounds that are making many people feel as if they are decades back in history. The scariest part is that these are YOUNG people. These are the people who should be fighting AGAINST the things that they seem to be promoting in the house. It scares me to think that any of them are going to spawn children of their own and teach them the same things that are coming out of their own mouths. It's even scarier to think that deep down they HAVEN'T forgotten that there are a zillion cameras on them 24/7. Since they've GOT to be SOMEWHAT mindful of that (I would hope), it really makes you think "What in the hell are they saying OUTSIDE of the house?" Some hateful things have been said in past seasons, but it's out of control this season and we've barely just begun!

I've had friendly debates with fellow Big Brother fans about this already, so I figured I'd give you all my take. I don't like what's going on in the house. I despise what's going on, actually. I may be in some kind of twisted fantasy when I say this, but I truly cannot wait for the day when we can all be judged SOLELY on the content of our character. I hate that anyone is judged by the color of their skin, the clothes they wear, or anything of the exterior as a matter of fact. I was born with a physical challenge, so it's always been my nature to only associate with those who can see ME as a person and see PAST the chair. That's how I look at ALL differences. It was brought to my attention that some people don't want you to forget whatever their difference is because they are proud of it. That's fine, in fact I'm proud of my accomplishments as a person in a wheelchair. HOWEVER, I do not want that to be the basis of what I'm seen as and I'm inclined to believe no one else would either. I think it's downright silly in 2013 for a minority race to boast about their race, just as it's always been silly for a white person to boast about their race. WHO CARES ABOUT RACE? Too many people and no one SHOULD anymore. That does not mean any of us are discounting what USED to happen in history, but we should be PROUD of where we are going. Unfortunately, some people are going backward.

As a fan of Big Brother, I personally feel that to compare ANY of the behavior of Aaryn, GinaMarie or Spencer, to that of Evel Dick (winner of Big Brother 8), is WAY off the mark! He may no have been the nicest person but he was never low enough to be a racist. In fact, if I recall, he made a comment about the hunger issues in Africa and it offended Jameka, a fellow houseguest during season 8. He apologized profusely and explained to her he meant no harm in his comments and it wasn't meant to offend her or anyone. He OWNED UP to his MISTAKE in speaking and how it was received by others and he played a damn good game! These houseguests this season are denying they even say anything! They're denying being hateful and racist! Hello...MULTIPLE CAMERAS throughout the ENTIRE house...including the bathroom, right at the bathtub while some of you idiots are shaving your privates! Use the shower!

But I digress. The houseguests this season don't seem to care who they offend. I cannot wait for Julie Chen, who is Asian herself, to face some of these people. I want her to speak her mind! Karma is already setting the stage, because some were dropped from their jobs (thank God). I could go on and on about this, but I will close in giving you the title of my first book...EVERYONE'S DIFFERENT, GET OVER IT!

Always Be Real

I've been toying with the idea of talking about this topic for a few days now...actually it's been on my mind at times for a long time, but it hasn't left the past few days. I was going to make a video about it, but figured it's easier to follow in black and white. For those of you who follow me on Youtube, you know how passionate I can get about certain topics and I didn't want to be all over the place with this.

I live in NY. Born and raised and the longest I've been away was for 6 months due to Hurricane Sandy. But I'm back and loving it! I guess NY is where I get my realness from. Anyway, with living here comes the amazing opportunity of living so close to the city, it's just a short train ride away. Well known people (I hate the word "celebrities") do a lot of their free events there and occasionally if I really love you, I'll even pay to go to one. But having the opportunity to go see and even meet so many of these people really makes me think. I've got a knack of being able to read people well and detect whether or not you're being real with me, and tons of "celebrities" are really fake. But I decided long ago (never to walk in anyone's shadows...*cough* sorry, Whitney just takes over my brain sometimes!) that I couldn't support anyone in the lime light that I didn't respect as a person. If I don't appreciate a waitress because of her attitude, I sure as hell won't appreciate a singer, actress, dancer, etc. for their bad attitude. And I ALWAYS make my own judgments, because everyone is entitled to a bad day and the media tends to mischaracterize people ALL the time. But there are the occasional bad moods in everyone's life, well known or not. I don't believe people should take it out on fans, but it does happen and as long as it's only heard of a handful of times (if that) then I can overlook it. And by the way, being too fake or sugar coated nice isn't appreciated much either. I think it's worse than being rude and ungrateful. I guess because I've come across so many fake people in my life and I just want to slap and tell them to be honest. Sorry, I told you I ramble and get excitable when I'm passionate about something, and it might get worse. Stick with me though LOL.

Two people who are completely picked apart for everything they do are Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy, the most talented, underrated and misjudged pros on "Dancing With The Stars". Let me tell you, these 2 get TERRIBLE press sometimes and it really overshadows their amazing talent...not to mention all of it is completely untrue. I've had the opportunity to meet both of them, first on June 6, 2011 at an event for their franchise of studios and then again on January 27,2012 when the studios created an event for fans so that they could help Maks celebrate his 32nd birthday. I had the chance to meet them and their family and they are amazing, gracious, sweet and down to Earth people. The world is just not used to REAL coming from a Hollywood based show and well, that's what you get with these boys. And I really appreciate that about them, probably as much as I appreciate their talent. They keep their family and friends close, but they also are not afraid to be themselves and tell it like it is if you follow them on places like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. It's very refreshing to see people that have an uncensored and not so politically correct opinion. We are all entitled to it.

My point of this blog is, we all need to embrace ourselves and our lives and appreciate the realness that others show us. It's like the saying "I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not". I'd rather be slapped in the face with the truth than someone coming up slyly from behind with a lie.

Raise your vibration!

In one of my previous blogged, we talked about maintaining your own energy and rejecting negative energy around you. Today, we are going to talk about your vibration. A person's vibration is what is emanating from them to the world around them. The "vibe", if you will, that they are giving off. At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what we want, need, think, believe, etc etc etc. Yes, those things are important to know, but more importantly, those things MUST be in alignment with our vibration in order to happen.

A person can want something until they are blue in the face, but if they aren't giving off the vibe or vibration deep inside that they want it, it just won't happen. For example. Let's say you hate your job. Instead of sitting behind a desk every day, you'd rather be doing something else. You want a new job so badly that will fulfill you. But you're afraid. You want to get out of this new job and you're taking steps to building your own business but you have this fear "in the back of your head/mind". Well, that fear can make ALL the difference in the outcome. If you don't believe you are already on your way to getting what you want, you won't get it UNLESS that mindset changes.

It's much like praying. There is no right or wrong way to pray, however some believe there's a more effective way. Not to get religious or too into Christian beliefs for those who don't participate in that faith, but I always prayed asking for things. I asked because I wanted and then left it at that. I didn't continue to believe I could have it. I didn't thank God for ALREADY putting it SOMEWHERE in my path. Because it is. Everything we can ever want or need is already there, including people. It's up to us to find it and we must be in the vibration of knowing it's there and knowing it's ours, in order for us to get it.

Think of it this way too. You are going fishing. What do you do when you find the fish? You put the hook toward it, it attracts itself to it and BAM you reel it in! There is a string or chord connecting all of us. PULL positively on the chords that you want to attract into your life as if you KNOW they are already yours. Because they are.

The next time you want to make a change in your life, try raising your vibration, be positive and KNOW that is yours for the taking! There are many ways to raise your vibration, but the easiest way is to do something that puts you "in the zone" and in a great, positive mood!

Pssst wanna know a secret? I'm writing a book about this stuff!

Don't take it personally

I recently made a youtube video about this topic, and figured I'd elaborate a little bit on here.

In our closest relationships, we are what I've come to call "bumpers" for each other. This means that we often clash with those closest to us and take everything out on them, even when what is going on has little to nothing to do with that particular person.

We, as humans, feel that we need to take it out on someone. Like somehow bitching and moaning to someone and yelling AT them and not about the real issue, will somehow fix everything. There is good news, however, if you are on the receiving end of someone lashing out at you.

It's not you, it's them.

When people lash out, they will say such mean and hurtful things, that we don't ever stop to think about what they are saying, what they are NOT saying, and why they are saying it. We just react.

Sometimes we do things that hurt other people and we need to take ownership. There is no denying that. However, a lot of the times what people do or say to us has nothing to do with us. If we just stop for a minute and take a breath before reacting, we can better spot when these instances occur. We only make the whole situation worse, including both ours and the other person's feelings, when we react without thinking. We are just doing what they did to us, back to them.

I challenge you. The next time someone lashes out at you, don't take the bait. Let it go or try to gently help the person. Be sure to let me know how it goes!

Your attitude creates your life

I've always known this concept and gone by it for my own life. However, sometimes "life" and other people's attitudes toward it get in the way unintentionally. If you are around certain people, your vibration and attitudes mix together, causing a change in both of you. However, it seems that most of the time the negative aspect of this appears stronger.

Lately, I've been stepping into my life's purpose. I've always been a positive person, rebuking any negativity. If I want something for my life and I believe that it will come to pass, NOBODY is going to tell me differently. Again, sometimes this attitude is hard for us to maintain around negative people. But we must.

In order to do this, we must sometimes cut ties with these people, or even do something as simple as leave the room and politely ask that they leave our manifestations of what we want alone, just as we should leave theirs alone. Letting negativity control your life is no good...whatsoever. You need to continue on the path of wanting the best for your life and believing you can have it. Then and only then will it manifest itself into your life.

Maintain your energy

Have you ever sat next to someone and had to jerk away? Or felt you had to leave the room because it creeped you out? That is just other people's or environment's energy seeping into yours.

The good news is, you can protect yourself!

You need to make sure you are grounded and protected. What does this mean? Let me explain...

Grounding yourself basically means you are present in the place you are at and your emotions and feelings are there with you. Not flying around with other people.

Protecting yourself basically means that you put a figurative shield around you so that no one else's energy starts to drain your own. We all encounter so many people in our day to day lives that this MUST be done repeatedly. This is non denominational. You can do this with God or whomever else you pray to or even just in the sense of owning your own energy and keeping that thought in your mind and heart.

Try it and let me know if it works for you :) be patient!
